Finals Week: one down, 3 to go!

This is me studying for finals. Okay...not really...but it could be!

The picture below is really my desk as I study for my Social Psych final that is tomorrow morning. In all honesty, it's my easiest final, and most likely my highest grade for the semester. I've lost 1 point the entire semester! Pretty awesome really. My Professor is fantastic. I wish I could take more of her classes, but I'm not a psych major and the rest of her classes are for psych majors only. Oh well.

I feel scattered, but my desk is organized!
Feel free to try and decipher the titles on those books.

This was the view from my balcony around 4 pm yesterday. The weather has been nasty and cold, but this was nice. It was a double rainbow, but I couldn't find my camera and by the time I figured out (remembered) I could use my cell phone, the second rainbow was already gone.

Okay...back to the books.

Yesterday was in interesting day. Started out average...get up way too early, go to Physio lecture still too early...sit through an hour of way too much info to learn. After lecture I went to the library with my lab partner to work on a graph that is due Monday. We ran into trouble and decided to go ask the Professor a question. So we go to his office and before we can ask him, he says he has a question for us, and we don't have to answer right now, but think about it and let hm know. He asked me and my lab partner both to TA next semester! How awesome is that?!?

Then a couple hours later in Poli Sci...my Professor tells me I don't really have to take the final if I don't want to. I can skip the final and still easily pass the class. However, I took it for a grade so I'll take the final.

Both of these are good...but it's weird, I still feel like a failure...or a fraud...or something.

Just a quick update...

We arrived at Raine's early yesterday afternoon. Hung out for the rest of the day and spent the night. We are now getting ready to head on further south. Will arrive at D's mom's in about 2 1/2 - 3 hours. There is no internet access there, so we won't be able to get online. Will head home Saturday. I'll post something saying we got home...if I remember!

In other news...for those who know what has been going on...We have returned, along with a bunch of others that we didn't know about (not a huge bunch). And we are safely back in the castle.

I haven't posted anythng for a long time so I guess I should do some sort of update.

School has been pretty intense. Last week I had two presentations and a major paper due. Pretty busy. I like it though...the school I mean. It feels different then the JC to me. The students are different. More serious about school? I'm not sure that is entirely true, but it seems that way. I think the students at the JC are serious too, but the goals are different...maybe that's it. At the JC it's all about certificates, graduating and going to work, or transferring. Where I am now it's all about getting into a good grad program, the GRE, and finding an internship. When I mention the DEMSN program (drect entry masters nursing), or having a double major, people don't look at me like I'm completely insane...only partially insane, due to the double major!

I like three of my classes and I hate the fourth. It kind of makes sense though because three of them are classes for my majors, and the fourth is a GE requirement. The GE one is where I find fellow students that seem to not really care about school. The class is about 80% freshmen, 15% sophomores...the rest juniors and seniors (all 6 of us!). The teacher talked about the breakdown of grades on the first midterm before he handed them back. He said that about 90% of the freshmen failed it, and about 75% of the sophomores did! All the juniors and seniors got an A or B. That was a pretty dramatic statement about how seriously people take the class.

As it stands right now, I have an A in three classes and I have an 87 in Physio...that's probably an A too though, because the teacher grades an a curve and the highest in the class is a 94.

I guess that's it.
